Seems like Minneapolis is active and fun for a suburban feel, performing well for a city of its size. But Chicago is undefeated for true city life, which I prefer. More comparable to NYC or San Francisco.

Some parts of Downers Grove are exceptional. It’s better than Elmhurst. It’s a beautiful town.

Mid 30s is average chicago winter weather lol…. Night time temperatures in the winter is what gets ya.

I love St. Charles! Everything we need, excellent neighborhood, schools, and people. Also tons trails for biking, walking, along the river

All the cons are what I consider pros, especially "small town living with limited perspectives of diversity and culture". In other words: its an actual American town, like America use to be; not a miserable Babel of Balkanized, multicultural-and therefore-no-distinct culture confusion where you lose your identity in the chaos. Sold!

Lived in Chicago for the first half of my life... but it was time to spread wings and find my place in the West. Hope others will enjoy it as much (or more) than I did.

I live in Detroit, but I so hope to move there later on in the fall. But to me, I feel Chicago is home, and every time I visit, that's what I feel. Austin, what do you think of Elmwood Park, and is there anyplace South that is recommended...like Matteson, which at one time was ranked as one of the safest city in the Country.

100% fact! I live in Uptown and moved here 2 years ago from NYC. I always get asked who has the best food scene between NYC and CHI. Although the NYC food scene is amazing, CHI has the upper hand in my opinion. I love that I can walk to the lake from my apartment in less than 15 minutes and even faster on my bike. Everything you mentioned are reasons to love this city like we do. I love Chicago! 😎

Here’s a easy tip: Look for someone special for marriage, join and pay for a online dating site and find a partner or future spouse that lives in Chicago, Illinois and after talking and after a chat or on app met them in person than if you become engaged make the ‘Big Move’ from wherever small community your from. moved out of IL yrs. ago,,, still have 3 apartment buildings there.. 1 in Northern Naperville/Wheaton were you were filming ( where within a few blocks you go from - downtown business district with ever contractor/vendor/fabrication business available to "smallville-colllege downtown America. lol) great mix of nature actives, culture and history in DTN area Vs. my 2nd and 3rd complex's closer to the Naperville/Aurora/Plainfield lines - combining 2 huge cities with an expanding Plainfield - with retail options that can rival options of Chicago in my opinion.. not many cities have 25 blocks of shopping "R59" surrounded by luxury condos, apartments and residential homes , with bus & train access - regardless -- Naperville is constantly growing , its safe for families and if you are into business it is a dream place to start up.. great vid
